Each year Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey has an action-packed schedule of programs, performances, social gatherings, parties, fundraisers and forums that make up the KCFAA Arts Series.
Annual Fall Residencies
KCFAA was originally founded to give Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater a second home for secured annual residencies with public performances and extended periods of outreach into our community. Today these annual residences of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater or Ailey II are approximately one week in length and include youth mini-performances, lecture/demonstrations, master classes, public theater performances, special events and a gala or benefit performance.
Events
In addition to our Annual Fall Residencies, KCFAA is active year-round with arts education programming in schools and community centers and two AileyCamps each summer, as well as a host of other member and community events.
