Gala for Arts Education
Saturday, November 15, 2008
5:00 p.m. - Signature Suppers
7:30 p.m. - Dynamic Performance
10:00 p.m. - Celebratory After Party
The Gala for Arts Education Two spectacular events. One vital mission. Annual Gala or Benefit. The Gala Structure Since 1984, KCFAA has taken this idea and expanded it into its unique Gala which begins where members from diverse ethnic and corporate communities come together for intimate "Signature Suppers" happening simultaneously in 30 homes/gardens across Kansas. At the suppers restaurants, caterers and floral designers donate the food, drink and a floral arrangment to each home. The evening centers around an unmatched Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performance in one of downtown Kansas City's historic theaters, then ends in a fun party where everyone can dance the night away - with the Ailey dancers, of course. Supper Home Hosts and Co-Hosts from all racial backgrounds are paired together to ensure diversity at each home and in the theater, then everyone comes together to end the evening in a celebration they never forget! |
