Interdisciplinary Program

 

The interdisciplinary program integrates social science, reading, math, history, language arts, and visual arts with dance.  Students will attend a performance of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater or Ailey II, participate in four workshops presented by an Ailey-trained dancer and learn historical choreography.  A curriculum guide transports the dance experience into the classroom.  A 60-minute teacher training is included.
