Committees
KCFAA's unique committee structure strictly follows its mission of "using the beauty and humanity of the African American heritage and other cultures to unite people of all ages, races and backgrounds." To achieve this goal, each KCFAA committee is co-chaired by two people from diverse ethnicities, then the committees are populated, and the work of the organization is accomplished, by people who represent the diversity of the community.
Many KCFAA committee members say they have met people they would have never otherwise had the opportunity to meet, and created lifelong friendships with others from very different backgrounds.
For more information on the goals and objectives for each committee, and the committee "job description" click on the committee links on this page. KCFAA would love to have your involvement in the committee of your choice. To sign up as a committee volunteer, please fill out our Volunteer Interest Survey and a member of the staff will contact you.
