Like all effective organizations, Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey is committed to ensuring the financial stability of the organization, including the philosophical framework, the values foundation and the essential activities of the entire development program and its interface within the organizational system.  Donors are stakeholders in the organization and as such care about what we do.  It is essential that this special relationship be continually nurtured

The annual fund plan is conceptualized by the Board’s Development Committee in a process facilitated by the Director of Development.  The committee, with the Director of Development, is responsible for direction and oversight of all fundraising activities of KCFAA and works with other committee to meet the goals and objectives for contributed and earned revenues.

At the end of the fiscal year, the staff, Development Committee and Board reviews actual performance against the plan.  Recommendations are made for the subsequent year.

Development Committee members are asked to committee meetings once each month, and possibly to make calls to donors, in person or by phone, on behalf of KCFAA.
